There are various ways to get the reservations done for travel in KSRTC buses. People can visit their nearest booking counters. The state government has established numerous booking counters at all main bus stand one main BMTC stand. Another way of getting the KSRTC booking is by visiting various franchisee counters. A number of franchisee counters have been established at all main locations within the state along with some points in neighbouring states.

The easiest way to get KSRTC booking done is to get e-bookings. People can log on to the official website of KSRTC, that is, KSRTC and make reservations. To be able to make their reservations, people are required to register themselves as members. All members are assigned unique user names and passwords that they can use for reservations every time they require travelling by bus. The members are required to carry printed e-tickets along with a proof of identity while they are travelling.

Another alternate way to get the reservations is by mobile booking. For this, they need to download an application called "ngpay". Then they need to SMS KSRTC to 56767. They get a link to download "ngpay" via SMS. Once this is done, they must enter their name and address and they are ready to visit the store of KSRTC on "ngpay" and make their bookings.
